Great value for money. First cage did turn up damaged but a quick email with photos to the customer services meant I received a replacement base in 3 days. Very pleased with product and service
Avoid this cage. It’s super hard to assemble and one of the clips has already snapped just on assembly. Utter nightmare
I actually bought this for budgies as a longer flight cage. For the price it’s great. Only negative is the roof is a bit tricky to get on when putting together. Super cage for elderly rats or as a flight cage for small birds like Budgies.
Good sized cage for a good price. Easy to assemble, no tools required. Comes with litter tray, water bottle, shelf and a tunnel. Found the tunnel to be a bit bulky for the cage, ended up using ramps i had from a previous cage for access to the shelf. Fitted a large 15″ diameter 4″ deep exercise wheel at one end of the cage using 2 flange bearings, cage is sturdy enough for that. Using soft tunnels and hammocks bought separately also. Found cleaning the cage fairly easy as when rats laying in their hive/tunnel/hammock sleeping can unclip the cage from the base, just lift the entire top end of cage off and place it onto floor then can clean the litter tray and bottom of the cage at my leisure. I use the cage for a pair of 1 year old female rats, roomy enough for 2 rats. Could manage up to 4 rats max, any more you would need a lot bigger cage. For 2 rats cage is ideal. Cage is good value for money and would definitely recommend it to anyone else on a budget whose not got the space or £200 for a 6ft tall large freestanding cage. If I could upload a picture I would, Im sure you would be impressed.
the cage is brilliant, it’s a lot bigger than it looks. it was relatively easy to put together, the doors are small which is not ideal but for the price point its overall a really great cage. it seems sturdy. when my cage arrived, the clips were missing but customer service were brilliant and had them sent out right away!
The cage clips are easily breakable if you’re not careful but overall it’s a great cage for your little friend to live in, very big and got room for burrowing too. 🙂
Nice big cage, easy to clean
The corner box and drink attachment were broken when they arrived. The rats have managed to open the door from inside the cage
I’ve got this for my hamster, and it’s quite a bit bigger than the recommended which is good. The base is nice and high, which allows for a lot of bedding to be put in, and the hamster not being able to kick it out.
The main issue is that it is quite fiddly to make, and you definitely need 2 people. There is no need for any instructions which is good, because they don’t give you any. It’s pretty self explanatory how to put it together!
After having 2 escaped young rats I decided I’d find another cage, I came across this cage and instantly fell inlove, the space In the cage is amazing. The only thing I would say is it’s very hard to reach in the back to hang things for my boys. The problem I’ve had is all 4 clips for the side of the cage have broken with just taking the cage off one time. Other than that the cage itself is huge, theres loads of room for atleast 4 rats, I only have 2 though which gives them tons of space 🙂 I do recommend this cage highly and I think it will be brilliant for the rest of my boys life!
