This cage is great!
It’s surprisingly good quality for the price, especially when it comes to the durability of the bars – I find they are that bit thicker than other cages, making it feel sturdy.
It goes together very easily, with most plastic components feeling tough and durable. I love that it can be easily disassembled and stored – this makes it perfect to house my juvenile finches.
To use as a main cage for adult finches I’d like there to be a wider version – 100cm or more (I’d consider the ones from this seller designed for rats for this purpose). It would also be very nice of there was a sage green version – I find the pale colour that is available is ugly, as the pull out trays are still black – the all black version is much smarter, but something visually softer would make this the perfect cage!
Only 4 stars as two tabs on the base of the cage were broken off during transit. Once assembled I found that this did not matter too much, as the perches provided enough tension to do the same job as these little tabs.
I purchased this cage for
my parrotlet as she needed a cage with narrower bars. It was a little fiddly to put together but once assembled is a sturdy and nice looking cage. My bird absolutely loves her new home as there is plenty of room for toys and flight in it. The only downside is that the doors are a little small which can be fiddly when getting food, toys etc in and out the cage as i cannot safely open from the top at the moment as my bird is not tame enough to not fly out the top.
