Pine Wooden Cage Shelf Large 35x15x4cm Universal | Little Friends

Description

Summary

Create an extra resting or climbing level in a suitable wire-bar cage with this natural pine wooden large shelf. With overall dimensions of 35 x 15 x 4cm, it provides a practical raised surface for compatible small animal cage layouts. The wood grain gives each shelf a naturally varied appearance.

Key Features

• Natural pine wood: solid-looking wooden construction with a visible wood grain finish.
• Useful raised platform: A rectangular platform with a 35 x 15cm overall footprint, ideal for planning extra levels where there is enough free space and a suitable supporting cage wall.
• Bar-mounted fixing system: metal bolts, washers and wing nuts allow the shelf to be secured to suitable wire cage bars.
• Flexible cage layouts: can be installed as an extra level or resting spot at an appropriate height in a compatible cage.
• Overall dimensions: 35 x 15 x 4cm.

How to Attach to a Cage

Place the shelf against a suitable section of the cage bars at the chosen height. Align the threaded fittings with openings between the cage bars, then secure the washers and wing nuts from the outside of the cage. Tighten the fittings firmly and ensure the platform is level and stable before use. Recheck fixings regularly.

Compatibility and Pet Suitability

This is a universal-style cage accessory, not a shelf guaranteed to fit every cage. Before ordering, please measure the available internal space and compare it with the shelf dimensions. Check the cage bar spacing, orientation, fixing-point positions and clearance around doors and other accessories. The shelf requires a suitable wire-bar fixing surface; it is not intended to attach directly to solid glass or plastic walls without appropriate compatible bars.

It may be useful for rats, chinchillas, ferrets or other small animals where the platform size, secure attachment, access between levels and the individual animal’s size and behaviour make it appropriate. Smaller shelves may not provide enough resting space for larger animals. Please choose the correct size for your cage and pets.
