After having our hamster for 2 months she has escaped! We were concerned that the gaps between the bars may be too big and others had commented so we used cable ties to pull the gaps together and make it safer! She has managed to escape through these bars and my kids are heartbroken! Beware!
Nice, sturdy cage…you do need pliers to bend the hooks thereby securing the wire walls, but this was fairly straightforward. The shelf and ladder are nice and chunky.
There seems to be a good enough amount of room for 2 rats and I’ve added a hanging tube and hammock so there is space to add extra items for playing and hiding.

I probably didn’t need this tall of a habitat for my Syrian. The length is great and the quality is good though! I would just buy the shorter version if I had it to do over.
Great holiday cage for my three female rats. They have the large coco as their normal cage and I love that.
Easy to put together and great access, fits my 12# wheel with room to spare.
I use cable ties to stabilise/for peace of mind.

I ordered this cage for two little rat babies. I am very happy with this product as its easy it assemble and easy access to the rats when needed. To clean it’s easy as you just unlock the sides and lift!

I have a very large Syrian hamster who needed plenty of room. I bought this cage knowing that for a hamster I would need to add an extra platform so she couldn’t fall the height of the cage. Platform installed and she loves it.
It’s a very big cage, some would say a little OTT for a hamster but I couldn’t bear the thought of keeping her in a smaller cage, the bigger the better in my book.
Never thought I’d say this, but.. This cage is far better than the savic freddy cages. Really sturdy and can be stacked. Love the large top opening. Using these cages for old rats, bitey rats who are being tamed, as easy access to reach in. And just set up most recent cage for a pair of female babies.
